Mike McCarroll, CSP - President & CEO Mike McCarroll is the President / CEO, and principal consultant for PROSAFE Solutions, Inc. He is an experienced and qualified safety and risk management professional with a proven track record of success in managing and overseeing safety programs for large construction projects and industry.
Prior to forming his own company, Mike worked for many years in the insurance industry, providing safety management and risk engineering services for large and complex construction projects and general industry accounts. His experience includes providing management consulting and oversight services for owner and contractor controlled insurance programs.
Mike has also held positions as Corporate Safety Director for an Atlanta-based General Contracting and Engineering firm, as Project Safety Manager for construction of Atlanta's Downtown Connector Project (Georgia's largest bridge & highway contract to date), and worked for Georgia Power Company's Safety Dept. during construction of the Vogtle Nuclear Power Plant near Augusta, Georgia.
He was integrally involved with OSHA's re-design process by providing consultation, design team training, and serving on two OSHA Insurance and Safety committees in Washington, DC. He also assisted OSHA in piloting a highly successful OSHA / Employer partnership which garnered attention from both the Vice President of the United States and several national magazines.
Mike currently provides high-end services to assist a variety of industries in improving safety performance and organizational behavior. Most of his time is spent conducting safety culture assessments, high performance safety seminars, implementing behavior-based safety systems, and providing management consulting on culture change for safety excellence.
Mike is a Certified Safety Professional, a Certified Professional Consultant, and is a professional member of the American Society of Safety Engineers and the National Safety Management Society. He is a frequent speaker at conferences and seminars throughout the southeast.
Mike also serves as Course Director of Construction Safety for the OSHA Training Institute Education Center based at the Georgia Tech Research Institute in Atlanta, Georgia.
