Behavior-Based Safety

An essential tool in improving safety performance is the Behavior-Based Safety Process (BBS). The process identifies specific behaviors required to carry out tasks safely, and provides a structured methodology for observation, feedback, reinforcement and tracking of safe and at-risk behaviors.

The work of noted behavioral psychologists in the field of occupational safety and health has yielded a highly effective process for motivating safe work behaviors
